Terms of Service

1. The Service

Reflex provides a hosted decision and classification API, account tools, documentation, and demonstrations. The API accepts the state or messages and questions you submit and returns structured judgments and usage information. The Service and its features may change over time.

2. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials and API keys secure. API keys are credentials: do not share them publicly. You are responsible for activity carried out with your account or keys. Revoke a compromised key from your account page and contact us about unauthorized activity.

You may use the Service only if you are legally able to enter into these terms. If you create an account for an organization, the organization is responsible for its users.

3. Pricing, metering, and payment

Reflex meters API input-token usage at $0.05 per million input tokens. Charges are deducted from the available USD balance shown in your account. The pricing page explains the metering calculation. The amount of a balance purchase, any renewal interval, applicable taxes, and payment terms are presented by Polar at checkout before you purchase.

Polar Software, Inc. acts as merchant of record for purchases made through Polar checkout and processes payment, receipts, applicable taxes, and subscription management. If checkout offers a recurring plan, it states the price and renewal terms. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the Polar customer portal linked from your purchase email. Cancellation takes effect as described in that portal.

We may update prices prospectively. Any change to a recurring subscription will be communicated and handled as required by law and the checkout terms.

4. Acceptable use

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use the Service unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, interfere with its operation, evade usage limits, or probe for vulnerabilities without authorization.

5. Your content

You retain your rights to the text, messages, and other material you submit (“Input”). You give us and our service providers permission to process Input only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the Service, including generating and returning the requested output. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit Input and use the resulting output.

Do not submit sensitive personal information, payment card data, or confidential information unless you have the right to do so and the Service is appropriate for that information. Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before being used in consequential decisions.

6. Ownership and feedback

We and our licensors retain rights in the Service, software, brand, and documentation. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while you comply with these terms. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it to improve the Service without payment or restriction.

7. Availability and suspension

The Service is provided on an evolving basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that outputs will meet your requirements. We may limit or suspend access to protect the Service, users, or the public, to address nonpayment, or where use violates these terms or applicable law. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Reflex outputs are decision support, not professional advice; you are responsible for evaluating them and for decisions made using them.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or your non-waivable consumer rights.

9. Ending use

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access as described above. Ending access does not cancel a paid subscription automatically; use the Polar customer portal to cancel recurring billing. Sections that by their nature should continue, including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, survive termination.

10. Changes and contact

We may revise these terms by posting a new version here and updating the effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by law. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms.
